The Rice Street / Holly Boulevard corridor is an important route in the northeast area of the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization's (MPO) planning area.  The corridor:

  • Provides connectivity between Sioux Falls and Brandon;
  • Links regional routes of I-229, Veterans Parkway, and SD11/Splitrock Boulevard; and
  • Supports diverse land use throughout the corridor, such as industrial, residential, recreational, commercial/office, and utilities.

The purpose of the study is to develop a long-range plan for the corridor through cooperation and coordination with agencies currently having jurisdiction over segments of the roadway (Sioux Falls, Brandon, and Minnehaha County).
