Lincoln County Highway 106 (271st Street) is the future growth boundary between the City of Sioux Falls and the City of Harrisburg and is currently under the jurisdiction of Lincoln County. Cooperation, coordination, and communication of the long term vision of this corridor is essential to ensure this corridor is properly planned and developed. All three jurisdictions have determined the need to jointly work together with administrative assistance from the South Eastern Council of Governments to achieve a well-planned, efficient, and safe corridor for all modes of travel. This project is being funded through a grant from the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) using federal transportation planning (PL) funds.
The Lincoln County Highway 106 corridor study team is seeking public assistance to identify the transportation issues and needs along the corridor, as well as input to create goals and priorities to develop the long-range vision for the corridor. The recorded open house presentation is available below.
Members of the public may submit questions or comments about the project by filling out a Comment Form. In addition, please take a moment to fill out the Highway 106 survey.
