Go Sioux Falls Long Range Transportation Plan Moves into Next Phase

August 11, 2015

The Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will update the public on Go Sioux Falls, the MPO’s 2040 Long-Range Transportation Plan, with an open house on Tuesday, August 18th, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM at the Holiday Inn Sioux Falls – City Centre (100 W. 8th Street, Sioux Falls, SD). Go Sioux Falls will establish goals and priorities to guide how future transportation investments are made to help shape the region’s transportation network through the year 2040.

The open house will provide an update on plan development. The public is invited to provide its comments and suggestions on projects being evaluated for improvement. Projects deal with critical improvements to walking and biking facilities, transit connections, and street and highway improvements to improve safety and efficiency, and reduce congestion. The public is encouraged to attend anytime between 5 and 6:30 PM to learn about this important project and provide comments and recommendations. There will be no formal presentation.  Input may also be submitted through the project website at www.gosiouxfalls.org
