South Eastern Council of Governments (SECOG) and Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) hosted an invitational White House Roundtable on Transportation, Jobs and the Economy, featuring Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez on August 29, 2013. Approximately 30 business and community leaders attended the 90-minute roundtable to discussed elements outlined in the State of the Union as well as other Administration programs and policies. Lynne Keller Forbes, SECOG’s Executive Director, introduced Administrator Mendez and Steve Metli, Sioux Falls MPO Urbanized Development Commission Chair, moderated the discussion.
Following the roundtable, Administrator Mendez, along with South Dakota Transportation Secretary Darin Bergquist, visited the Cliff Avenue Interchange Project in Sioux Falls.
