The Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the South Dakota Department of Transportation (DOT) are in the process of drafting the 2014-2017 Transportation Improvements Program (TIP) and 2014-2017 Statewide Transportation Improvements Program (STIP). The TIP and STIP include prioritized listings of transportation improvements projects for streets and highways, public transportation, aviation, railroads, bicycles, and pedestrian.
The draft 2014-2017 TIP, which includes transportation improvements projects for the MPO area (the Cities of Brandon, Crooks, Harrisburg, Hartford, Sioux Falls, and Tea and portions of Lincoln and Minnehaha Counties), will be presented to the MPO committees at the July 17th and 18th meetings, including a public hearing scheduled for July 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the SECOG Board Room.
DOT will also be holding a public meeting at the Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls on July 17th at 7:00 p.m. to present the draft 2014-2017 STIP.
